Frequently Asked Questions

  • What kinds of activities do you offer?
During our Spring Market, we have a wide variety of live flowers and vegetable plants for sale. In the fall, we have a you-pick pumpkin patch, as well as a huge selection of pre-picked pumpkins, squash, and gourds for sale. In both the spring and fall, we also offer family activities such as our duck races (all ages), bouncy corral (age 3+), and bubble machine (all ages, $2 per person). Our farm store is open during every season, offering a large selection of gifts and seasonal décor. A different assortment of vendors also set up each weekend in the spring and fall, offering handmade crafts, food, build-your-own stuffed animals, and much much more!
  • Is parking free?
Yes! We offer free parking during every season. Handicapped parking spaces are available near the farm store, and additional parking is located on the east side of the farm.
  • Do I need a reservation to visit the farm?
No reservations are needed to visit our farm during our Spring and Autumn seasons. Admission is free during these seasons. Reservations and paid admission are required during the Christmas season. You can make your reservation by clicking the "Book Now" button on our website, which will be available starting in the fall.
  • What is your photography policy?
You are welcome and encouraged to take your own photos while our farm is open. We have several photo spots available for you to use. Professional photography sessions are allowed by appointment only. Please contact prairiemoonfarmil@gmail.com to request an appointment. An hourly fee will apply. Payment is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
  • Do you host field trips?
We do have limited time slots available for field trips during the week. These spots fill up quickly, so please contact prairiemoonfarmil@gmail.com as early as possible to request a field trip for your class.
  • Can I bring my pets or service animals onto the farm?
Friendly leashed dogs are welcome in most areas of Prairie Moon Farm. We just ask that you clean up after your pets and keep a respectful distance between them and our farm animals. Pets are not allowed to enter the reindeer area, as their presence can be very stressful for our deer. Service animals are allowed in the reindeer area, but please alert a staff member upon arrival so that special assistance can be provided. Please contact us at prairiemoonfarmil@gmail.com if you have any questions about our pet or service animal policy.
  • Is the farm wheelchair accessible?
We welcome guests of all abilities, and we do our best to make our farm as accessible as possible. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons can be brought onto the farm, but the ground can be bumpy and uneven in areas, and wheelchairs may need someone pushing/helping. Most areas of the farm are outdoors and have gravel, grass, or dirt paths, so inclement weather can make it difficult for wheels to travel through. When you arrive, our staff is happy to help in any way we can. If you have any questions, please email us at prairiemoonfarmil@gmail.com.
