How can I interact with the reindeer? You can pet and take photos with our reindeer through the viewing windows in the reindeer house or through the fence. For the safety of our animals and guests, only staff members are allowed to go inside of the reindeer enclosure.
-
What is your photography policy? You are welcome and encouraged to take your own photos while our farm is open. We have several photo spots available for you to use! Professional photography sessions are also encouraged, but must be scheduled in advance. Please see our Photography Policy page for full details.
-
Do you host field trips? We do have limited time slots available for field trips during the week. These spots fill up quickly, so please contact prairiemoonfarmil@gmail.com as early as possible to request a field trip for your class.
-
Can I bring my pets or service animals onto the farm?Friendly leashed dogs are welcome in most areas of Prairie Moon Farm. We just ask that you clean up after your pets and keep a respectful distance between them and our farm animals. Pets are not allowed to enter the reindeer area, as their presence can be stressful for our reindeer. Service animals are allowed in the reindeer area, but please alert a staff member upon arrival so that special assistance can be provided. Please contact us at prairiemoonfarmil@gmail.com if you have any questions about our pet or service animal policy.
-
Is the farm wheelchair accessible? We welcome guests of all abilities, and we do our best to make our farm as accessible as possible. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons can be brought onto the farm, but the ground can be bumpy and uneven in areas, and wheelchairs may need someone pushing/helping. Most areas of the farm are outdoors and have gravel, grass, or dirt paths, so inclement weather can make it difficult for wheels to travel through. When you arrive, our staff is happy to help in any way we can. If you have any questions, please email us at prairiemoonfarmil@gmail.com.
